iPhone 4 Launching

After many months of waiting, the iPhone 4 is finally going to be launched in Malaysia this Friday, 24 September 2010.

From an unconfirmed source, Maxis will be having a grand launch event is for invited guest only on 24 and 25 September 2010. The Maxis iPhone will be launched to the public at selected outlets (KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, Pavillion, Gardens & TTDI) on 26th September 2010 and other Maxis centres from 27 September 2024 onwards.

Maxis will also launch new iValue plans - looks like still no change to the data limit. Digi is currently offering a cheaper monthly fee and a 1GB monthly data quota for it’s lowest plan with “no bill shock” for local data usage, meaning no extra charge when exceeding monthly quota. I hope Maxis will revise their plan and offer their customers more value for money plans.

So far no news about Digi’s iPhone launch plan. I am sure they will try to do better!

Hi Job, so far no news on trade in, but Maxis allows a contract extension if you an existing 3Gs user upgrading to iPhone 4. So far still no news on Digi.

According to Maxis it’s available nationwide from 27 Sept onwards. Again it’s also based on supply and demand.
