In my many years of cooking, it has never happened before. Today, while cooking a simple dinner, the entire wok caught fire! I wonder how this could happen as I am using an induction stove. The flames were rather large and lucky I had a wok cover nearby which I quick grab hold and covered the wok to put out the fire.
When the flame was out, I lifted the wok cover and the entire kitchen was covered with a thick choking smoke. I had to put on a fan to blow the smoke out and spray the kitchen with air freshener to get rid of the smell.
Lucky for me, none of my food was burnt as it happened after I finished cooking.
