Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn festival also known as Lantern Festival or Mooncake festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese Calendar which is also the date that parallels the Autumn and Spring Equinoxes of the solar calendar.

This year, I celebrated the festival with my friends. The event was held in Puncak Alam which is quite a distance from anything nearby. I have a rough idea of where the place was but the GPS function on my phone certainly help a lot.

The night was filled with loads of food and not forgetting mooncakes! The moon was shining really bright that night and the air was fresh yet calm.

On our way home, we decided to make a detour as we saw a signboard which stated “Shah Alam” while on our way to Puncak Alam. I made the turn and said, “let’s trust the GPS”. My friends were getting worried as we were in the middle of nowhere and we were going on an unknown road. I have used my GPS many times and know that it works. In less than one minute, it picked up where we were and showed us the direction all the way until Subang.
