The Men’s Health Run was held today at the lake gardens. I had to wake up at 5.30am to get ready for the run. When I arrived at the lake gardens, it was still a little dark and the temperature was cooling. Warm up exercise and breakfast was organized for the participants before the start of the run.
When the run started, everyone was strong and quite near each other and as the race progress, the gap got wider. The challenging part of the race was running up and down hill. At one point near Bukit Tunku, the hill was rather steep and the water station right at the top of the hill. It was a motivation to get up there.
I am happy with myself that I completed the 10km run in approx an hour. I would never have ran 10km if I was on the gym treadmill. It shows that if you put your mind to it, nothing is impossible.
