Excuse me, there is a cockroach!

Jogoya

Causeway Bay

I recently had lunch at Causeway Bay, Low Yat and Jogoya, Starhill. In both places, I encountered cockroaches!

Lunch at Causeway Bay was with a gym friend. Half way through lunch, a cockroach ran across the table. I smacked it and she quickly took out her phone to snap a picture as evidence. She informed the staff and they took away the “flattened” cockroach. She had to ask for the manager twice before showing up. She complained about the cockroach problem and was told they have engaged pest control but the cockroach still shows up. Guess their pest control is not doing a good job.

Lunch at Jogoya was with the BF and two other friends. As I walked pass the ice cream freezer and saw a cockroach running at the side. I quickly took out my phone a snap a picture as proof. A supervisor saw me doing it and asked if he could assist. I told him about the cockroach and he said they have been having the problem for a while. He will make a report to the management.

What has happened to food hygiene?

You know, that’s happened to me before. And it’s around the Bukit Bintang area as well - a cockroach was crawling on the chair, when the waiter, having seen my disgust - quickly grabbed it and took it away as far as possible. Yeuch.
