While most of us were celebrating the new year. Our little puppy, Bob was being nursed at the clinic. He has been sick for the past 2 days - vomiting and diarrhea. I took him to my friend’s clinic a day earlier but after taking the medication for a day, there was no improvement. He still refused to eat. The BF and I forced feed him but he vomited whatever that we gave him. We were getting worried but since it was already late at night, we will have to wait till morning. Meanwhile, I message my friend for his advise and he told us to bring Bob in for further testing.
We went back to the clinic yesterday. My friend did a Pravo test and it was confirm positive. Pravo is a viral disease that can be deadly even if treatment is given. When a dog is infected with Pravo, there is only a 50/50 chance of survival. In certain breeds of dogs, there is no chance of survival at all. My friend put Bob on drip and medication. There is nothing much that we can do but hope for the best.
This morning I drove my BF to work and as he got out of the car, I receive this message in my mobile phone:
“My dear friend, sorry to let you know about this sad new. The puppy was found dead this morning. Last night was having very bad bloody diarrhea. Thousand apologies”
As I drove home, my heart sank deeper and deeper. I could not hold my tears. The little puppy that we held in our hands and played with a few days ago is now gone.
Farewell our little Bob… We really, really miss you… We hope that the last few days that you spent with us were the most memorable. You will always live on in our hearts…
