We arrived Penang last night and the first stop was Batu Ferringhi for the Nike Factory Outlet and cheap DVD! The BF bought 4 DVD. We would have bought a lot more cos it started to rain and we wanted to make our way back to the car and not get caught.
Eating the hawker food in Penang is a must do! We really ate and ate and ate. In less than 24 hours, we had 5 Asam Laksa, 4 Fried Oyster, 3 Cendols, 2 Penang Fried Kuey Teow, 2 Penang Rojak, 2 Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee), 2 Ice Kacang, 1 Claypot Chicken Rice, 1 Paper Wrapped Salted Chicken and 1 Chicken Porridge! Gosh, there goes my diet.
Another must for Penang is the Tambun Biscuits. We made a stop at Ghee Hiang and picked up a few boxes before heading to Kek Lok Si. One again the GPS was very useful as it managed to navigate us right up to the top of Kek Lok Si so we don’t have to walk up the stairs from the foot of the hill right to the top.
The construction at the top was just amazing. They have constructed a huge bronze (30m) Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) and are now constructing a roof over it. We did not stay long as a storm was coming our way. We made our way down the hill and headed to Queensbay Mall for some window shopping before heading back to KL.

Hmm I heard there was a food festival there. I wish I was there. I miss the bobochacha there. It’s my favourite!

Quick, quick, make a visit lor…. it’s not that far and expensive. If you are lazy to drive, there is the bus from 1 Utama or Firefly from Subang Airport.
