The BF and myself, together with a friend when for a holiday up north. Our first destination was Lumut, on route, we made a stop in Ipoh for white coffee and soyabean curd. Yummy!
The three of us were not familiar with the roads up north but it was no problem with the help of GPS. Other than guiding us to our destination, the GPS was helpful as I was able to tell if the road ahead was a straight road or a bend coming up. Cool!!
We stayed at Lumut Country Resort. It’s a hotel run by my friend, David. The design of the hotel reminds me of bungalows from the colonial days. It’s a basic hotel but location is very near town. We took some rest before heading out to Lumut Water Front which is just next to the hotel for a walk before heading to Sitiawan for dinner.
The dishes at the restaurant were one size, BIG! The food was really good but there was so much that the four of us ate until we could hardly move.
We went back to the hotel after dinner and headed to town for some night shopping. The town is just one street! We also found the jetty for the ferry to Pangkor which is just on the next street. We decided to make a quick visit to Pangkor tomorrow since we are almost there.
