Night out with the boys… or should it be “girls”?

Friends No Comments »

Had an interesting night out with the boys. It’s been a long time since I last went for a night out. We went to the Attic in Bangsar. It’s an interesting place. Hidden from the usual Bangsar scene. The music is good. Will be back again.

Hospitalized

Some of you know, most of you don’t….For the past one week or so, my stomach has been giving me problems. Little did I know, the major problem would be coming soon.

On Sunday night, I had a few drinks and got a bit drunk. At 2am, I started throwing out. I thought it was normal. Then I continue throwing out for the next one hour until there was nothing to throw out. I was feeling dizzy, weak and dehydrated.

I called a friend that’s staying nearby and he scolded me for calling him at 4am. So I had no choice but to drive myself to SJMC. I was in a rush that I forgot to turn off my pc, lights and more importantly my mobile phone. On arrival, the doctor admitted me and put me on drip.

I was on drip was placed on my right hand. The arm felt cold as fluids were being replaced in my body. I had to sleep with the drip and it was really uncomfortable. I woke up the next morning with nurses coming to take my blood pressure, pulse and tempreature. Then breakfast was served - chicken porridge and two slices of bread with strawberry jam.

The doctor came on her rounds and check on me. I was told that I could be discharged if everything was back to normal in the afternoon. There was nothing much to do in the hospital except to sleep, eat and more sleep. Lunch was then served - fish porridge with shreeded chicken soup. I was getting anxious to be discharge so I waited for the doctor to arrive. 2pm.. 3pm.. 4pm.. 5pm.. still no sign of the doctor. So I went to the nurses station to enquire. They were not sure if the doctor was coming or not. Sigh… what now??

I went down to my car and got a few coins. Tried very hard to recall the phone numbers of some of my friends. I managed to call two and they were kind enough to bring a change of clothes and my mobile phone for me. Dinner was served - chicken porridge. Sh*t, I cannot stand eating porridge the whole day! When my two friends came, they were kind enough to buy me some “real” food. I don’t care, I really wanted some real food!! When the food came, rice and korean BBQ chicken never tasted so good. hahaha…. They stayed and accompanied me until 10.30pm. It was real kind and sweet of them as I was alone in the hospital room.

Tuesday morning - woke up again with the nurses coming to take blood pressure, pulse and tempreature. They have to do this every 4 hours. So sien… Breakfast came and again, it was porridge and two slices of bread with strawberry jam similar to the day before. 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm… still no sign of my doctor. Lunch came, porridge again!! Arrrggghhhh!! Believe me, I won’t be eating porridge for a long time!

After lunch, the doctor showed up. Told her I was waiting for her since yesterday as I wanted to be discharged. She said all the papers have been prepared for my discharge. I was fuming made and I could have been home sleeping in my own bed last night!! She apologize for the misunderstanding and will redo my documents for my discharge. She felt guilty for the mistake and given me medical leave until end of the week.

I got out of the hospital around 2pm and a friend came and took me for lunch. After lunch I went home and rested a while before heading to gym for BodyJam! Hahahaha… After class, I saw my god brother and go a little scolding from him as he was worried about what happened to me. So sweet of him. I then had dinner with him and his partner before heading home to sleep.

Gwen in Kuala Lumpur

Had a great time at Gwen’s concert in KL. Although I did not have the best seat in the house, I had a good view from where I was seated. On the downside, I was surrounded by screaming teenage girls. There was one behind me that scream at a high pitch. I think I was getting deaf from her scream rather than the concert. Over all, I enjoyed the concert. One of the best!

A nice tuesday

Gym 6 Comments »

I have not blog about myself in a while. I had a nice day today.

Went to gym at the Curve for BodyJam. It was my first time trying out Ken’s class. I like his class. He choose a list of songs that were high energy, a mix of BodyJam 38, 41 and 34. That’s the blessing from being young. He’s will be turning 21 years old tomorrow. The regular members bought a cake for him and presented to him after class.

After class, my class buddies and I were laughing our heads off as we were so tired from the high energy class yet we push ourselves to complete it. What made the evening better was my god brother appeared in front of me. He’s ever smiling and cheerful character brings sunshine to the dullest day.

He invited me to join his partner, himself and the “invisible” girl. We went to Damansara Uptown for late dinner. All of us had so much to talk about that we did not realise it was already past midnight. Reached home around 12.30am.

Love is like waiting for a bus

“Love is like waiting for a bus. When the bus comes, you look at it and you say to yourself. “Eeee… so full… cannot sit down, I’ll wait for the next one.” So you let the bus go and waited for the second bus. Then the second bus came, you looked at it you said, “Eeee… this bus is so old… so shabby!” So you let the bus go and again, decided to wait for the next bus…After a while another bus came, it’s not crowded, not old but you said, “Eeee…not air conditioned… better wait for the next one.” So again you let the bus go and decided to wait for the next bus.

Then the sky started to get dark as it was getting late. You panicked and jumped immediately inside the next bus. It is not until much later that you found out that you had boarded the wrong bus! And you wasted your time and money just to get into the wrong one! Even if an air conditioned bus comes, you can’t ensure that the air conditioned bus won’t break down or whether or not the airconditioner will be too cold for you. Wanting to get what you want is not wrong. But it wouldn’t hurt to give other people a chance.

I’m sure you’ve had this experience before. You saw a bus coming (the bus you want of course). You flagged it but the driver acted as if he did not see you and zoomed pass you! It just wasn’t meant for you…

The bottom line is, being loved is like waiting for a bus you want. Getting on the bus and appreciating the bus by giving it a chance depends totally on you. If you haven’t made any choice, WALK!

Walking is like being single. The good side of it is you can still choose any bus you want…the rest who couldn’t afford another ride would just have to be content with the bus they rode on, ugly or not. Also, sometimes it is better to choose a bus you are already familiar with rather than to gamble with a bus that is unfamiliar to you. But then again, life wouldn’t be complete without the risks involved.

But there is one bus that I failed to tell you about - the Bus you do not have to wait for, the Bus that will stop on its own and ask you if you wish to come inside, then take you for a joy ride for the rest of your life. Hope you get to ride on that bus!
