Last Friday, I went to take a blood and HIV test. The last time that I took the test was a little more than year ago. My mind was clear when I took the test as I know I am clean but just wanted an assurance.

The test required three test tubes of blood! Sigh… what did I get myself into. To make things worse, the doctor could not find my vein. So he suggested the drip method. The doctor put a needle into my hand and I had to squeeze my wrist to let the blood drip into the test tube drop by drop…. and I had three test tubes to fill! The whole procedure took about 10 minutes.

After completing the three tubes, I felt dizzy as there was lack of blood flowing from my arm to the rest of the body for the last 10 minutes. I had to lie down in the clinic for a while before I felt better.

I collected my results today… as predicted, I am healthy except that I am lack of good cholesterol which all I need to do is exercise more. What’s more important, I’m HIV negative.

I have always been a fan of musicals and theatre. Last Friday I went to watch My Fair Lady. The show started 15 minutes late which is quite normal but what annoyed me the most was my neighbours. Next to me were two mad ladies jumping out of their seats laughing and kicking me! Behind me was two children who kept asking the parents what the conversation is all about. To the right was a baby that was screaming. Sigh… this is a musical, why can’t people behave…. and children should be banned from such shows!

The next show that I want to watch is Broadway Prodies Lah! at the Actors Studio Bangsar. It will be shown from 24 May to 3 Jun. Anyone interested to join?
